چکیده

OBJECTIVE: Iatrogenic vaginal stenosis adversely affects the sexual life of couples. The definitive treatment this condition is possible by redilatation vagina. This study aims to investigate outcomes dilatation procedure performed using an absorbable oxidized regenerated cellulose.MATERIAL AND METHODS: 29 patients who could not have intercourse due underwent vagina enlargement surgery cellulose in period April 2014 August 2020. results were analysed with help standard ‘Patient Global Impression Improvement Scale (PGI-I) which evaluates patient satisfaction particular.RESULTS: mean follow-up was 16 monts (14 - 24 months). No major perioperative complication detected except from perianal hemotoma treated antibiotics and drainage a case. At 6th month follow up visit, 27 reported pain free intercourse. Two needed re-dilatation 4 6 months later respectively.Based on scores as “much better ‘’and ‘’very much better” PGI-I scale, rate 93% at visit.CONCLUSIONS: Vaginal seems be safe effective positive anatomical functional results. However, many comparative studies

Oxidized Regenerated Cellulose Resembling Vaginal Cuff Abscess

INTRODUCTION Application of oxidized regenerated cellulose is commonly performed in laparoscopy to achieve hemostasis during surgery. The appearance of an abscess resembles oxidized regenerated cellulose, causing imaging studies to be difficult to interpret. CASE DESCRIPTION We describe the cases of 3 patients who underwent oxidized regenerated cellulose placement during laparoscopic gynecolo...

Clinical experience with the surgicel family of absorbable hemostats (oxidized regenerated cellulose) in neurosurgical applications: a review.

INTRODUCTION Oxidized regenerated cellulose has a long history of safe and effective use in the surgical setting. Surgicel Original, Fibrillar and Nu-Knit absorbable hemostats are composed of oxidized regenerated cellulose and are sterile, absorbable knitted fabrics that are flexible and adhere readily to bleeding surfaces. The purpose of this paper is to discuss neurosurgical applications for ...

Effect of oxidized regenerated cellulose on the healing of pharyngeal wound: an experimental animal study.

BACKGROUND This study aimed to investigate the relationship between oxidized regenerated cellulose (ORC) and mucosa healing in an experimental animal model. METHODS Fifteen adult Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into three groups that underwent different wound treatments. In Group 1, no pharyngeal wound was created. In Group 2, the pharyngeal wound was sutured with Prolene only. In G...
